whats your price?
how much will it take for you to go to a soul sucking, energy stealing, mind numbing job five days a week? well how much?yea, i thought i had a price too, but now i don't think their is one high enough.
i slowly feeling myself becoming like the other zombies working here.
i have to escape. i have to use my creative energies other than how to get through the bureaucratic red tape i find my self drowning in.
it is time for a change!

squirrels are dicks
i told you so. you know who you are.
a new scientific study has revealed that squirrels and damn sneaky. dr. michael steele, a reasearcher at pennsylvainia's wilkes university, and several colleagues performed a study on grey squirrel behaviour. they placed acorns near squirrels and watched what the animals did with them. as expected, the rodents dug holes and hid the food in one of several secret stashes. but it turned out that 20% of their secret hiding places were total fakes, kind of like the mx missile program during the reagan years. the surprising part was that the squirrels didn't just randomly make these phony stashes; they were far more likely to employ a ruse when they knew another squirrel was watching them. there you have it--the evidence just keeps piling up. squirrels are good for nothing, sneaky liars because they know that all the other squirrels are dirty, rotten thieves ready at any moment to steal their sweet, sweet nuts.

common sense
davidhumus writes
"according to a wall st. journal article top executives at most companies fail to recognize the value of it, having a tendency to think of information technology as a basic utility, like plumbing or telephone service. the article lists five primary reasons for 'the wall' between it and business: 'mind-set differences between management staff and it staff, language differences, social influences, flaws in it governance (defined as the specification and control of it decision rights), and the difficulty of managing rapidly changing technology.' does this fully explain the extreme lack of understanding of it at high executive levels? the article is even-handed in apportioning blame but touches on a few good points. in particular, how '[m]ost top executives ... think of it as an expensive headache that they'd rather not deal with."
